Well my much anticipated trip to the coast did not disappoint. My stepson Josh and I left the house about 5:50AM (twenty minutes later than I had planned). We unloaded the SeaPro just after 7 and headed out. On the way out the river Josh snapped this photo
We had a plan to try in close hoping to bag a couple Redfish then we could foucus on the trout. Conditions were great all day long. Just a slight chop and just enough breeze for a slow drift. Josh hooked into what we think was a nice Red but we never saw it as it came unbuttoned after about 20-30 seconds of pulling drag. Never got our Reds but we did manage 7 keeper trout mostly in the 5-7 feet depth. Had 3 Manatee circle the boat twice and a Porpoise jump completely airborn as I was running about 30 MPH 25' or so off my bow . Really scared the pajeses out of me.......Never seen that before.
Here's the catch

After
Even with the Dogs losing a close one, It was another great day !!!
