Kirt,
As far as I know, no one else in Perry sells it. I've checked all the stations that I know of. Karens is the only one I found. The best part of Karens is that it's as cheap as you'll find around Perry. Most everywhere else is 1 to 5 cents higher per gallon for the ethanol laced gas.

I don’t know for 100% but have been told by several marine repair shops and dealers that a good preventive is to install a water separator, and change your filter every couple months. Ethanol is basically the same molecular weight as water and will bond with water in your tank so a separator will help to pull it out. I have recently installed a second separator with high performance filters. The only thing that comes through now is pure gas no water no ethanol just gas. Ethanol will also eat your lines and the only treatment for that is to replace them, it sucks but it’s cheaper than a repower because your outboard got a shot of water/ ethanol. Sorry to hear that Salt Life.

Re: Need for an ETHANOL page
Yeah, I have (3) filters in line before fuel gets to my carbs. Had such a great fishing summer I FORGOT to change my filters. My main filter is a 10 micron filter with a bowl for draining the water out of the filter. I have two extra filters in my shed and ONE IN THE BOAT ! No one to blame here but me. Havin too much fun. Gonna repower with a new MERC 90 or Yamaha 90 . Any sugestions ? Found a new in box 2010 merc 90 -carbs - 2 stroke for $5,785.00 with warr. No tax. out the door in Texas.
I also saw today in Quincy that a place on 267 just outside of Quincy near the post office has a big sign that says marine gas . Couldnt stop to see for sure . Will do on Wed.

Here is an excerpt from the standards that were adopted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in 2008 requiring that all public conventional fuel sold in Florida contains 10% ethanol:
"-- Beginning December 31, 2010, all gasoline sold or offered for sale in Florida by a terminal supplier, importer, blender, or wholesaler shall be blended gasoline. EXEMPTIONS.--The requirements of this act do not apply to the following:
(a) Fuel used in aircraft.
(b) Fuel sold for use in boats and similar watercraft.
(c) Fuel sold to a blender.
(d) Fuel sold for use in collector vehicles or vehicles eligible to be licensed as collector vehicles, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, or small engines.".

This website is dedicated to helping motorists find 100% pure fuel, but I'm pretty sure their list is incomplete or obsolete:

Re: Need for an ETHANOL page
The EPA is supposed to rule in the next couple weeks whether or not to approve a petition by the ethanol industry to increase content to 15%. The National Marine Manufacturers Association suspects the agency will grant a partial approval for late-model cars and off-road vehicles, but not marine engines. There will still be a major problem with confusion at the pumps, if this comes to pass. The existing problems with E-10 will continue.

SK, I just saw the story on ESPN Outdoors and sent my letter (not that we have much say in the matter but I feel better).
please send your comments to the EPA, sooner or later somebody's gonna listen.

It's worth stopping in just for the Boar's Head deli meats. Their deli sandwiches can't be beat around here.Reel Cowboy wrote:I'd stop there once in a while but they are proud of their diesel.CSMarine wrote:Kirt,

oH, btw, isn't it Katie's Kountry Korner?
We've just been calling it by it's unfortunate 3-letter acronym.
