Daniel and I got to the ramp at 6:00 anticipating not having enough water to get out later and ran out the river with a spotlght. Got out there far enough to shut down and spent some time rigging up in the dark. While still dark Daniel caught a huge sail cat on a topwater and then a bonita(I think) After the sun got up we commenced to fishing. The water was very clear and 72degrees. We put 6 solid fish in the box by 8:30 then it got reel slow for while. By around 1:30 we finished our limit of trout and moved towards Hickory mound to see if we could manage a red or two. I caught a nice flounder then Daniel caught a black drum. Most all of the fish were caught on grubs w or w/o cajun. No one color worked better than others. Great day on the water. Can't wait to go back.

What? We have our 2 over 20" and the rest are over 16". If it's not a legal fish it's a short. If it's legal it's gonna come home for dinner. I don't know about you but I like to eat fish.

i'm sure not jealous either, been letting my limit go everytime the last few trips out to let em grow and especially with the club tourney coming up.i keep enough for a meal to eat when i do keep em,not to big on freezing trout for later on.
