St. Marks Sat, 5/1

Post by Flats Rascal »

Headed out from the lighthouse around 9 Sat. morning. Overcast, winds about 7 knots. Most boats were west of the channel which was a little unusual. Fished south and east of the light. Eight keeper trout, assorted ladyfish and catfish. Most caught with red or white DOA shrimp. Didn't see a mackerel for the first time in a couple of months. Wind picked up around 3 o'clock.

Pretty good day on the water considering I had no plans to go at all.

Have a great week everyone. 8)

Some times those spur of the moment trips are the best. The best time to fish is when you can. Good report.
