Econfina 10-10

Post by Perch Jerker »

Beat the tide out this morning and was met at the mouth by a blanket of fog. I was in the small boat and left the hand-held GPS on the seat of the truck. :smt009 Due to the uneasy feeling associated with not being able to see where I was going, nor where I'd been, I stopped 1/4 mile out and started fishing. Caught a couple right off the bat but then struggled through the low tide period. When things got to moving again, fishing picked up. Wound up with 2 limits of trout and reds. Biggest trout - 4lbs 8oz. Had a 3 ft cobia show up trailing a ray. Would't eat but a awsome sight non the less. Also saw 2 sea turtles. I threw a lot of stuff but a gulp w/cork is all that would work for me today.

Sitting in the campground right now enjoying someone's wireless. Thanks, whoever you are.
I'm going to try it for a little while in the morning, before to negating tide at 11:30.
Wonderful place- great day.
