Wakulla River

Any suggestions on where to put in and navigating up the wakulla river? Wife is killing me for a boat ride up the river.

Put in at the St.Marks Fort.

Enjoy the scenery.

:stupid_1 Specially if she want's to go "up" the river. Maybe she would like one of those boat-rides they sell at Wakulla Springs. I can't remember if they are glass-bottom boats or not. Might still be some gators out. :-o
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Thats what I thought. Wish another glass bottom boat ride would do it.

Wakulla Springs has a glass bottom boat ride when the springs are clear and there has not been any recent rain, like our current weather situation. Now might be the perfect time for that excursion.

you have three options. the fort, lower bridge (the new bridge has been in use for a while now), or the upper bridge. the fort and the lower bridge have the best ramp tho and don't hit em at low tide. the lower bridge has one hell of a drop off and you will never get your boat back up. unless you wait until high tide that is.
