Another Big Red... and some family time!

Post by bman »

Met our friends the Yoders from Atalanta down at AGP for a couple of nights.
They have four kids so this was not going to be a serious fishing trip, Just Fun
Did our standard run down to the tip to catch a few fish.
Image
Looking for something that would pull... Shark or catfish. Didn't matter to the kids!
Image
After a few sailcats and a small shark one of the rods bent over a little more than usual... Jonathan picked it up and started fighting something big,
My wife stopped everythign for a moment to take a family photo of the Yoders
Image
After a lot of long runs he got her to the edge.Obviously she was too big for a net so I got in and cradled her up...

She measured 37 and 1/2 inches..

After a few pics we released her

We had some more fun...
Took a sunset photo with my Bride- she is over 1/2 way through pregnancy- Due in Feburary

Caught a few more fish...

Then headed back to satsify our hunger with a dozen mullet I caught in the cast net.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Thanks bman!! Can't think of a better way to end the day than with a beautiful sunset, enjoying family and great friends while simultaneously battling an awesome red!
Great job netting the tasty mullet.
Surprised at your modesty in not mentioning that huge red that you caught as well in the same location.

Nice Barry. Well done buddy.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
