A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
This pic was forwarded to me. Don't know if its true or not.
"A large sinkhole (about 30 yards in diameter) has opened up on the southwest corner of the Leon County side of Lake Miccosukee right next to the public boat ramp on US 90. It formed around 12 noon today, and water from the lake has been draining into this sinkhole as fast as it can. Before now, there had only been one sinkhole associated with Lake Miccosukee, and that was the one on the far northern end of the lake by Reeves Landing, which is separated by the lake only by the concrete spillway constructed by FWC."
I went out yesterday and its pretty low folks. South of Rococo, I would be very careful, especially with an outboard. Wear your kill cords and lifejackets. If anyone is doing any early morning, predawn running around be VERY careful. Boat trails are not a guarantee.
