Re: Icy teck/ Yeti 95 qt cooler
I bought a couple and wish I had a bigger one I took a picture of some kings I caught and on was missing its tail folks asked if a shark got her I said no a filet knife it wouldn't fit in the cooler. Just made the fish story a little better. Based on the way this one fits in my boat I think I'll pass but I sure would like it.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

WAM,
You might want to reconsider that purchase. Most regs stipulate that the fish be landed in whole condition. Depending on the FWC officer, cutting the tail off a king might earn you a ticket.

He was landed whole he was iced with his tail off but in the cooler so it wouldn't leave me unable to close the lid do you think I would get a ticket the tail was there and used as food!

If the officer felt so inclined then yep.
Bend him in half if you have to.

You got lucky.
Your fish usually fit in a 6 pack cooler.
Tails and all.

WHOSE FISH IS IT?
Re: Icy teck/ Yeti 95 qt cooler
The regs say " . . . must remain in whole condition until landed ashore, (heads and tails intact)."
I wonder why they feel the need to elaborate with "(heads and tails intact)", as if "whole condition" isn't plain enough?
Do you think they mean to allow gutting (surely not filleting), as long as head and tail are intact and therefore sufficient to measure?
Also, a few species are not flagged with the "must remain in whole condition until landed ashore, (heads and tails intact)" clause. Exempt appear to be billfish, bonefish, dolphin, hogfish, mullet, black sea bass, shad, shark, tarpon, and weakfish. What's up with that?
Can you cut these fish up into pieces and put them together like a jigsaw puzzle if the Man wants to measure them?

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
