Which Boat Ramp?
I have some family in town and I am taking them fishing in the morning. Was hoping to put in around Panacea but, there is -0.45 feet low tide around 9am ( I plan on putting in a little before 8am). I have used the ramp at Mashes Sands before with no problems, but never on a tide this low. I have an 18' Flats boat and just wondering if I would be able to get it off the trailer?? I am pretty sure if it came down to it I could pole out of the canal and into deeper water, just not too sure about the actual ramp. Any other ramps in the area not so effected by tides? Thanks!!!

You should be fine @ Keaton Beach, if you were so inclined.

Re: Which Boat Ramp?
The safest ramps with the negative lows are the Fort and Shields in St. Marks on the river.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Don't try Econfina lol its not safe at all

Rock Landing is fine on a dead low, as long as you don't back your trailer off the end, it is well marked.
Once you're in, it's clear sailing following marked channel. BTW: it's free!

I'll be launching from the fort at St. Marks. It's fine in a negative tide.

Thanks for the replies!! That is about what I figured, I might try rock landing on wed. I will stick to what I know for tomorrow and launch out of St. Marks. Thanks again for the info.

Panacea

Re: Which Boat Ramp?
You can fall off the ramp at Panacea. I did it one time with a 18 foot G3. They jsut built a new ramp on teh west side of the Ochlocknee bridge. I havent put in there but it looked pretty good.
