River fishin' 12-22-10
Butch,Nitrofish and JT51 left Shields on the low tide Wednesday morning and headed up river for trout and reds.
Within 5 minutes at our first stop we put a couple 16 inch trout in the boat.
We release these vowing to keep nothing under 18 inches.
We slowly make our way upriver checking all our usual holes.
Once we got to the end of our line we decided which hole to go back to and anchor up.
The trout bite was awesome.
There was a bite every cast and a fish in the boat every 2nd or 3rd cast.
Well over 200 trout came into the boat along with a few reds including a 27 inch 14 spot red.
We boxed some really nice sized white trout too,24 total.
The osprey were catching their fair share of fish too.
Saw a few club members and forum members enjoying the day.

Nice report on a fun day. You found more bigguns than I did, but I was using lures, not "bait."
Was JT also dancing a jig and smacking a tambourine while unhooking that trout? He's multi-talented, you know.

Cool but either the measuring stick or the cooler ruler is way off.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Something tells me the nose on that redfish was on the 10" mark of that cooler.
