Fired the Yamaha up and it didn't start pee'g right away. Shut it off and took the intake screens off and this fell out.
After searching old threads on here i'm thinking this used to be my impeller???

Ouch.
Prolly cranked it while frozen (up there in Kentuck).
Easy fix (I think).
Hurry, got a warm spell coming up.

It's been down here since Oct. If I had to guess it dry rotted or has never been replaced. Parts hunting in the a.m.!!!

Hey, Chalk.... did the fellow (SIM) who posted the pictures ever post the ones where he put the LU back together? I went through the 6 pages of the thread but didn't see it.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

On a 15 Yamaha, a piece like that got sucked up inside, took a little more repair that just replacing the impeller. Watch it closely.
