Ridiculous bass at St Marks Refuge
From Dec 22- 27 bass 4-10 pounds have been feeding like pigs at St. Marks Refuge. Can't figure out how to get pictures on here...technical instruction happily accepted (pix of biggest are attachments on email to myself at gdroze@maclay.org.). Will trade advice on how to catch them for coldwater red/trout hints to a wader whose shallow creek spots are now empty!

Become a bbf.n site sponsor and the picture thing is easy.
Get a inner tube and float down the St. Marks from Newport to the Fort and catch trout and reds.

Gary, another option on the photo posting is to get a free membership to a photo sharing site, such as photobucket. When you upload photos to such a photo sharing site they'll give you code to paste in that will make the photos show up in the thread. Super easy and sure you'll figure it out if you try it.
Here's a pic of Keels with a shallow water grouper he caught while aboard Marine's Dream a few years ago. I uploaded it to photobucket (as simple as logging in an hitting an upload button) and all I have to do to share it is click on the image code (bottom of the choices on the right) and paste it into the report. Here's the screen capture from photobucket...
And here's the actual picture posted by simply pasting in the code...

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

If memory serves me correctly they are closed to boats, not fishing. Happy NY Jeffrey.jsuber wrote:I thought those ponds were closed to fishing til spring.
Nice bass Gary!
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
