Canoe Repair?

Post by Atticus »

I am the caretaker of a friend's 16' fiberglass canoe. I want to get it ready for a little bassin

The wicker seat on the canoe had dry rot and it crashed through when a fourm member sat his fat azz on it. :-D

Any ideas where I can get it repaired? A furniture repair place? A canoe place?

Any suggestions are welcome

Atticus,
There's a small shop in Woodville on the southeast side just as you're about to leave town heading towards the coast. Don't know the name of the business, but there are several boats, a shed and a nice-looking wood strake canoe in the yard. He's got a sign up advertising caning, so he might be a good place to start.

I've always wanted to stop by and look at that canoe and never find the time. It's a work of art from a distance.

Great idea. I forgot about that place. I will stop by his shop on Saturday.

If he can't help pm me, and I'll give you my bro in law's info. He repaired/replaced the seats on mine.
