Mothers day trip

Post by GeneO. »

After a late start, 9:30, we headed to Carrabelle. Got there about 11:30 as construction traffic is a killer now a days. When we got there the boat wasn't in the water and everyone was gathered around a Robalo. It sank overnight and the marina had spent all morning raising it. :o

The marina put the boat in and we hit the cut around 1:00. Ran out around One More Time where my Wife, the oldest and my middle one caught a few Sea Bass and Grunts. It was the wife's first fish ever in the gulf.

Made it a short day and headed in around 3:30 on the way in my Wife got to see her first porpoise in the ocean.

Once we got home the Wife and Kids went swimming and as I was walking out of the garage I overheard the middle one exclaim to Donna, my wife, and her sisters "Today was a perfect day" can't tell you how good that made me feel. Guess I'm doing something right. 8) :smt028

Good deal Gene  When mama is happy. All is good in the world.
Glad she got to enjoy some of the things we sometimes take for granted.

I’ll appeal to her economical sense, next time we’re out I’ll run by the fuel dock with her in the boat. She’ll ask a few questions at that point I’ll spring the trap door and she won’t even realize what happened. :-D

Sound like one Robalo owner didn't have such a good day, glad yours was better. Hopefully all that construction will make life easier in the long run.
