Keaton Beach 5/10

Post by birddog »

On the water by 7:30 this morning. Headed south looking for reds in the skinny water. No luck . By 8:30 we were running out to deeper water after trout. The trout bite was slow today. Took us until 3:00 to finish our limit. Didn' catch any over 20". Caught trout on grubs , live pinfish, and catch 2000's. candy corn seemed to be the most consistant color grub all day. Caught all the trout in 5'-7'. No cobia, but lots of sharks. Plenty of pinfish, though getting some small enough was a problem. All in all a great day, beautiful weather, and I can't wait wait to go back.
