Keaton Beach Tourney

Post by silverking »

Had a great time at the club (and my first) Keaton Beach tourney. We caught plenty of fish, but unfortunately we had Palm Beach releases on a couple that would have completed our trout limit and the rest were too big. Capt. Joey and I had fun, however, and thank everyone for their hospitality.

Thanks to Warrior and his team for putting on a great event. My partner and I would both like to salute the club again for establishing the slot format and hope the committee will consider this as a full-time policy. It levels the playing field for everyone but most importantly protects those big breeding females for the next go-round and for those to follow.

Tight lines to all and best of luck throughout the season.

This was my oldest son 1st tournament and he had a blast. He caught his 1st trout on a top water spook, which I thought was cool. Anyway Sunday after church he was telling his brothers how much fun he had and caused a problem for me, they all want to go to the next one ! I tell them that they had better practice more. I'm cleaning the boat and look up to this. I know it hard to see but there are 3 there 4 th taking a nap. Going to need a bigger boat !

It was fun. I never place with catches but I can always count on the great people, yummy food and the raffle...good times, always.
