Post by BayGator »

I rode by one of my honey holes today and saw 7 hens scratching around so I know a big tom is not far away. Hurry up Saturday!!

I guess I will be on saturday mornin, dont care too much about it but someone wanted me to take them and I thought my fishing partner was gona be tied up til almost lunch. That changed so I am anticipating heading down to the coast at about 9 or so after hunting. I have had too many cold days fishing to miss saturday and sunday this weekend fishing. Good luck to ya tho.

Given the warm weather, prolly one of the best weekends of the year imo.

Sports Authority has shotgun ammo 15% off.

I got a box of 10 Winchester Supreme Turkey 3" #5s for $12.50 on Wednesday.

Called up a nice one Saturday morning. It took 45 minutes to get him in sight. He got right to the edge of the field, but would not cross :(

Got busted by 2 hens and a gobbler Saturday. This morning we set up and had one gobbling at us within the first 30 seconds. 2 gobblers and 10 hens flew in right after daylight and we added 2 more gobblers after about 45 minutes. The hens left the field and then it was like a race between the 4 males to get to our hen decoys. We got a good shot and layed one down! It was an awesome morning in the woods!

heard more than I can count on a scouting trip Sat. Saw two gobblers in the feild we'll hunt Saturday morning, went to another feild a friend is going to hunt and saw 5 toms strutting full fan with a few girls on the sidelines watching, I think my budy is going to have tough time getting those toms away from the girls, but my partner and i will be hunting on the other smaller field EARLY so I'm stoked! Good luck everyone.
