ST. TERESA & ALLIGATOR POINT 5-12-04

Post by dolphinatic »

Work called me down to St. Teresa Wednesday morning to detail a boat....so, I decided that I would take my little 12 ft. fiberglass and fish one of my favorite redfish holes after my work was done. Man, I hate my job  Anyhow, this was NOT the day to fish the bay :x The wind was the worst I can remember in recent memory. After 20 minutes or so, I decided to just hit the shoreline and fish from the surf. I was using live scrimp under a CT. Not a bite.....even trashfish. This is one of the few places that I use live bait because of the success in the past fishing this area. Back in the day, I have hauled in 25-30 reds that were in the slot or surpassed it! All catch and release of course

I "fished" from 11:30 - 2:30 with not much action. I did find a nice school of spanish, but managed to land only 1. The highlight of the day was hooking a huge ray.....took almost 15 minutes to land it.

Definately not the best day for fishing, but you know the saying "A BAD DAY FISHING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAY AT WORK."
