Finally around 6 pm started to fish seriously. Got off to a great start with a fat 23".
Picked up a couple more nice fish before calling it a day and heading for the hot dog stand. Their shrimp any way you like them are great.
Saturday started out well at low tide, slowed down to a snails pace from low to high, then picked up a bit at high tide. The wind was working against the tide, so maybe it just took a while for it to catch up. We fished from 2 to 5 feet, but had our best success in 3.5-4. Sunday we knew we had to head out fairly early, so we hit it hard early on. Again we had a pretty good bite at low tide in 3.5-4, which slowed as the sun came up. We were fishing pretty clear water, so that probably had an impact on the bite. Water temps varied from 67 to 70, as the wind was all over the place. It was good to get out with a couple of good friends that I seam to have some difficulty getting weekends that work for all of us. All in all it was a great weekend and we boated a good number of healthy trout, although not quite meeting the standard of the first fish.
