Keaton 4/10

Post by ddb »

Fished 4/10 with Peng "the fireman" and Calvin. I felt bad about his little mis-hap and figured he was primed to put some fish in the boat. We had a pretty good start from 8:30 to 9:30, then the fog rolled in and things slowed substantially. Finally around 1 pm with the fog gone and the tide starting to move out we started to put some more fish in the boat. With a near limit of trout we went to hunt some redfish. Peng delivered with a nice slot fish, a short, and a 30" beast. Took us a while to put our last trout in the boat, but Peng came through again. We had our best success in 3.5-4' of water. Fished the 3 P's, plugs, plastics, and pins, but had our best success on the live bait. Beginning to see a little bait activity out there, so I think the bite is only going to get better.

Nice report and some great photos. Glad to see you made it out. By the way, the new gps you installed for me is awesome. It is going to be a big help and a game changer.
