Lanark Inshore 4-12...4-13

Post by Jhults11 »

4-12...Decided to go to Lanark with my dad Tuesday. We could only fish a few due to my pm class. We drifted the flats during the afternoon decreasing tide and did pretty well. We fished NP Cajun thunders in 3-5 ft of water. We ended up doing pretty well catching 20 trout with 4 keepers mixed in. One of them was a toad! The biggest trout iv caught since last summer. It was 24" and went 4.3lbs! Go figure I caught it drifting the same spot I was drifting on the tourney and that day all we could buy was an 18" fish! O released the big girl... No sense in killing a big breeder! All on all it was a productive 3 hours. Also caught a few spaniards!

4-12...Headed out the next day with my buddy Doug. We got an earlier start and drifted the same general area with better results! The trout were banging it catching fish nearly ever 3rd cast! Ended up catching 50 with 7 keepers mixed in. Also caught some spaniards! Really good day of fishing and had a blast! Get down there and geter done! The fish are bitin! We had a blast and can't wait to do it again!
