Had plans to have the boat in the water at 6:30, didn't make it sleep in. When I did get up there was no huury since I miss the tide at my ramp and had to wait for more water to come in.Any ways got to the house/ramp about 9:30 and right away knew that the north wind had kept the water out so I cleaned up in the yard a little.About 11:15 had water to go, hit my first spot for about 10 minutes nothing, hit my second spot, nothing but saw lots of bait fish on the gulf side of bar so I fish round to that side.I worked it about a hundred yard or so with one of two plugs when big mama just nailed it ! A yak was fishing shoreline side of bar by this time and mabey she couldn't see over the bar but she yell over "Is that you " and I replyed "Yes mam" while turning the trolling motor south with my knee and trying to find the net.Anyways worked the fish over for a minute rod in one had net in another.Got her in the boat weighed, measured and got her back in the water for next time. Just like deer hunting the horns aways shrink by the time you get to them, I thought she was bigger than she weighted 3-1/2 lbs 24".After that hit 2 more spots real quick, had to get home for the race! Not much of a story for 1 fish but it was quick and fun.

Hey Gulf Coast. I fished till about noon or so then headed in (caught very few) That wind was a bit cool.

I saw you catch that fish yesterday around 12:30/1:00.....I was back on the hill in the golf cart.

Yes it was cool/cold runing to the next hole.I started to come over and find ya'll, just had to fish those other spots!

Part 2 : More fish. Partner and I rented some yaks, 6:30 blast off, 45 minute paddle, casting for 15 minutes produces 1- 4lb, next cast luke snag something, major backlash and in need of overhaul kit, back-up rod differant lure two cast a 4+lb, turn around look for partner disappeared into fog, 10 more cast another 4+ lb . Boats come by, we talk and agree thats it about over but it's still early ,fish onward back to where I stared ,boom the fourth 4+ lb trout caught in about a 45 minute span of time.Now I've been on here long enough to know that there are about 25 guys that this could and has happened to and think no big deal, but that was the best luck I've ever had in such and short period of time. *Disclaimer the names of the bar and the friends have been changes to protect my own "ARSE".
