Any have ever eaten Speckled Trout roe?

Was it good?

I LIKE it :thumbup: it's a bit drier than mullet roe, but then ya don't get the runs like ya do from the Mullet neither :lol: and it sure beats wasting all them eggs :beer:

Ate some just last week.
Wevans is right.
To me it taste really good if you like roe.

Thanks! I feel the same way about wasting things and the runs. I'm going to try it!

Had some nice roe in fish we caught last Friday.

Eight of the nine fish had red roe with only one having white roe. Is this the normal catch or was that a fluke?

The females were more hungry than males that day.
BTW,the white roe is best.

Trip from a couple of weeks back we had 15 keepers ( 2 days) and all but one was female.
Just wonderering how much the row has filled out. The ones we caught the row was about as big as a pencil. How big were the ones you caught?
