Looks like I'm the newest member to Big Bend, but I've been reading the posts here for a few years. Pastor Terry, another new member, is my "little" brother and we will be fishing out of Lanark this week for 3 days. He had asked for a little inside info in a previous post, but I'm getting very different NOAA forecasts for Wed, Thurs, and Fri. What do you guys see in the weather for these 3 days? Any help you can give would be appreciated. This is, by far, the best local website I've found anywhere in Florida as we have fished many parts of the state and usually find nothing that has helped has much as what you folks put out there. Thanks for having such a great fishing website! Reef Donkey

Welcome RD!!! Make sure to post a report after your Lanark trip!

Thanks Wevans. I'll check these as well. We are locked into the trip and can't get the deposit back, so we're coming no matter what the weather looks like. Just wondering if I should bring some heavier stuff along in case we can't get outside and to Dog Island Reef and beyond without too much trouble.

I take a grouper rod with me on EVERY trip to the salt :o I may start out fishin shallow, but if the weather looks good for a run off shore, I don't want to be kicking myself in the rear for not having the equipment to go with
