Port St. Joe

Post by reelbad »

Met with my son Will and my fishing partner Huey on Thursday morning and headed to PSJ for NFGFC tourny on Sat. We made a couple of stops on the way for breakfast and GA$$$$ got to the Main Stay and checked in. On to Bluewater for supplies then launched the boat at the city ramp to a rough ride across the bay. Short story, 2 keeper trout. Friday morning back on the water around 8:am, fished hard in windy conditions for several hours and caught 13 trout for the box from 16 to 19 1/2, all healthy and fat. Met with JT, Ashley, Matt, Grizz, Hurley, at the Sunset Grill for a good supper then on to the Dixie Bell where we had a few  with Jeff and Chuck. They had been fishing also and had a great box of fish to show us. Sat morning calm wind good fishing until around 10:am. We had all of our fish for the weigh in by 8:30 am Huey put on a clinic and put us in the third place money with good string of fish. Thanks to Will and Huey for taking me fishing and a great weekend with good friends and a good time. Also congratulations to Jeff and Chuck on winning the tournament. O yea, thanks to Jeff and Chuck for the directions to the fishing hot spot.
