Seth made the switch to Gulp! and finaly got a couple of keepers 
I soon also made the switch to Gulp! No monsters, but we took 6 home for dinner and were home by 9:30 am. 
The next day, Seth and I went and met his parents at the ramp for an afternoon trip. They were in their flat-back canoe and we were in my boat. We started with Gulp! and didn't switch because it was working. On our second drift we already had a couple of trout in the cooler, when I hooked up to my new personal best trout
27-1/4". (Don't know what it weighed, I don't own a scale). At the end of that same drift, Seth caught a nice 25" redfish. On the last drift, he also landed a 14 inch flounder, rounding out the Grand Slam! We took home 8 trout and Seth's redifsh and flounder, but there's no telling how many 13" trout we turned back, along with a couple over 20". When we motored over to meet back up with Seth's parents and show them our fish, they had a little surprise for us! His dad had a respectable 20" redfish, but his mom had landed a very nice 26" Gator!
All in all, this was one of the best weekends of fishing I've had in a while. I'm just glad Seth could come up here and catch some quality fish on his birthday, before he heads back to his new place right down the road from Mosquito Lagoon.
