Thursday; had a late start and didnt get on the water until noon but had 4 trout before heading back in at around 2 pm to pick up two out of town friends. Went back out at 2.30 pm and pick up 4 more before high tide. However, outgoing tide was tough as the sea breeze and the outgoing tide were canceling each other out - we were moving at 0.1 knots despite the 10 plus miles sea breeze. Fished until 7.30 pm and ended up with 11 fish total. Had fired and gilled trout at the Hotdog stand and there were excellent.
Friday; the two friends acted like they were on vacation (well they were) and we didnt get on the water until almost 9 am. First hit the channel marker and found 2 big catfish on one of the marker. The smaller fish accepted the offer of a juicy pinfish and after some give and take from Evan, it came onboard and chilled down in our cooler.

We went back to the same piling and the bigger fish was still there. This was a 30+lb fish. We offered it another pinfish and Evan quickly found himself came tight with a much bigger fish this time. He did a great job fighting the fish but unfortunately the hook came unbuttoned. Feeling disappointed, we went to take it out on the trout, putting 15 fish in about 4 hours or so of cork slinging.

On the way in, we made a stop at the channel markers and found a lonely catfish looking for a partner. A quick hook up and after a short boat chase, we had it on boat side but the fish was still green. My first attempt to net the fish ended up pissing it off and proceed to swim right through the net putting a hole in it. And here's where the mayhem begins. After another 5 minutes of fighting, both Evan and the fish were worn out, I snagged it with the gaff.

Saturday; I had my usual crew this time - Dave and Calvin. Trout was not hot but we managed to catch our 15 fish by 3 pm. Nothing really big but we had 3 over slot, with Calving catching the biggest fish at 21.5''.

Decided to make a quick stop at the channel markers again and Calvin spotted a pair of catfish. Dave ended up snagging one and with a quick work we put it on the boat.

All in all, we had a great weekend. The boat didnt catch on fire this time and we caught some fish to boot. Thanks for reading.
