Re: Redfish Tournament
Quincy Animal Hospital will donate $100 prize to the most spots on a weighed fish. Split the $100 if tied.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

Re: Redfish Tournament
I'm glad to see something in the works now!
Been asking around and alot of ppl are tellin me they want a wide boundary fishing tournament, kind of like others in the area for example from keaton to st.joe or within 100 miles of weigh in...I know all the guides and local tourny winners dont want anyone following them to their honey holes. lol
Thanks for getting something like this going!

Re: Redfish Tournament
Late summer, early fall would be my choice. Not in duck season.
And it is QUINCY Animal Hospital (although it is quality too).

Re: Redfish Tournament
Late summer sounds awesome....possibly late July or even into august....as for entry fee $100 sounds spot on to me, that'd be $50 an angler its doable.

Re: Redfish Tournament
It is $100 for first, no other places? I can't fish this weekend anyways, just curious.

Re: Redfish Tournament
Here's some food for thought on a local redfish tournament:
A 3-, or ?-event championship. Maybe $100 entry fee for a 2-man team. 100% payout; $75 goes 3-deep to event winners; $25 to championship purse. Pay top three places in each event (1st gets 60%; 2nd gets 30%, and 3rd gets 10%).
For example, a 10-boat event would pay out $750 (1st = $450, 2nd = $225, and 3rd = $75). The championship purse would add $250.
Artificial lures only (or live bait, too?). Wading Okay (just fish within sight of each other). Kayaks (and canoes) Okay (just fish within sight of each other).
Fish anywhere (within set boundary (maybe the scallop boundaries)). Just change the weigh-in point every time to even out the geography. Pre-pay Okay. Discount for pre-pay all events?

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
