Cobia

Does anyone use circle hooks for cobia? Will they work with a cork? After seeing so many reports I am going to try my luck this weekend.

Yes, and yes. Use one with a big enough gap to match the bait. And let the fish eat. Once it starts taking drag, reel tight and fight normally. 95% of the time the fish will be hooked in the corner of the jaw.

Was using circles for gags this weekend and boated 2 nice cobes.
Both snagged the upper lip solid, they didn't have a chance.
Just make sure the gap is wider that the lip of the fish you want to catch.
