I looked into it a bit, wikiclicked a few times. Best guess is a Mauser, but I've got no ideas on the model or vintage.

Wevans, consensus on the gun forum is that it is a Spanish Mauser M43/44.

Thanks for looking into it LS I told the wife that I really needed to get it to a gunsmith and get it cleaned up
