Looking for a good home for a registered GSP (free)

Post by Tkmcknig »

My girlfriend has a 1 - 1/2 yr old German Shorthaired Pointer that she got as a puppy and we may have to give her away. She lives in an apt now and is going to be moving soon for work and will be living in another apt. These dogs need plenty of outside time and aren't very good apt dogs. Even though she goes on runs daily it still isn't enough to keep her from getting into trouble when she's gone. Giving her up is the last thing that my gf wants to do but it's probably the best move since she will be working 10-12 hr days starting in august. She is a really good dog other than the fact that she likes to get into the trash and has separation anxiety when my girlfriend leaves. She loves to sleep but when you take her outside she immediately starts looking to the sky for birds. With proper training she could be a decent bird dog and/or a great companion if you can give her the attention and exercise that she needs. She also needs an owner thats going to be around most of the day bc like a lot of GSPs she get a bit of separation anxiety when left alone. Believe me we don't want to give her up, but it may be the only option. With her new job and schedule it's probably going to be too much to handle. I'd take her but I already have a German Shepherd and both my roommates have dogs.

PM me if you have any interest in meeting her!
