I cant give you an accurate answer geib because I dont have a depth finder. Hoping to get one soon though! I did drop anchor and my estimate was about 5ft.

Back in the day when it wasn't public, the furthest cypress tree stand near the middle dyke was about 10 feet deep at normal water levels. The ones near the train tracks were between 6-9 feet.

Went out there today for a little bit around 6:30pm. Few other people out there, I was just chumming with some bread. Didn't get any action, nobody else did either. I think the rain had something to do with it.

How long do you chum/how much do you chum with? A whole loaf? And those darn birds kept eating the bread haha...any advice?

Thanks.

yeah, cant remember time of year id see the carp out there...

i rip up about 5 or 6 pieces of bread, let em float around for a bit....if i dont see anything, i go back to just focusing on bass...

but keep bringing some cheap bread out there, cuz when they are around, its fun...
