A morning of Kid Fishing...

Post by bman »

We had Lauren, an 11 year old friend, visiting from Atlanta. My wife was her nanny when she was 6months old.
She wanted to go fishing and catch a shark... of the the few fish we can be confident about this time of year!
Started off with a calm morning...

The Jellyfish were out in force

It was not long before we had her shark! We lost two much bigger ones at the boat- she really wanted to catch them on her own without any help.

Lauren with a keeper spanish mackerel she caught all on her own!

It was hot as could be by 10 am so we took a break for a swim and some exploring

Cant get over how hot it was on the water. Ready for some fall fishing!

We had a fun time on the water and caught some trout and whiting too.
Good chance for me to see what my life will look like 10 years down the road ;-)

Found a spot with some great top-water action at sunrise... going back for an adult fishing day soon!

In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
