goin fishin in the keys on my kayak. any of yall know anything about fishin down there.

some great bonefish flats there, and just north of there in lower matecumbe. Also, the channels under the bridges usually have tarpon all summer cruising on moving tides, into the bay on rising, back out on falling. 100lb+ fish are normal, would be a sleigh ride in the kayak. only downside is you are going to have monster sharks following you, and either clipping the tarpon during the fight, or waiting for you to release it. I had one 6ft + off the channel 5 bridge (about 20 miles north of where you will be) and all I pulled up was the head. Big hammerhead got the rest. There are also snook in shore, tons of small mangrove snapper (great eating) and often mutton snapper in the grass flats. and deeper channels. Not to mention permit, cudas, jacks, cobia, sharks etc. also there are some cheap rentals out of duck key if you want to go offshore. reef fishing on the full moons are great for snapper.
