Pre-fishing Seatrout Shootout

The BassBoys and I left the ramp at 7 a.m. Friday to locate some fish for the Seatrout Shootout Tournament.
We fished 3 spots catching fish in all 3.
One spot was holding the quality fish we wanted for Saturday.
Most of the fish were taken on topwater.
We needed some fish to eat so we kept 15 trout 18-20 inches.
We would have kept smaller fish to eat but smaller fish were not biting.
We had a good breeze most of the day for good drifts, then it slicked off.
Sharks to 4 feet and a seagull couldn't resist the topwater action.

Congrats on the catch gents, but Steve I don't pay for babies. Cute fish, just not money worthy. Must have felt good to have a tug on your rod for the first time in a while.

Steve, you lucked out on our little bet. Just found out that I have to attend a wedding the weekend of the Seatrout Shoot Out. That is unless you want to get with Bryce and Blake... I am sure that they would love to take your money too. :smt006
