Well, after getting shutout last weekend and NO love yesterday I finally found a fish that wanted to eat!! Got on the water about 10:30 this a.m. after some storms blew through and figured the water would be too muddy to spot fish. After getting on the flat it was actually in pretty good shape! Started seeing fish and after spooking a couple with some decent fly placements I decided to scale down my leader and fly! That seemed to be the ticket. Miss a couple of good fish and finally connected on this one. Good day on the water for me!
Have your fellow boaters stopped asking why you have a cover over the outboard yet?
haha... funny you should ask that..... When I was securing everything for the trip home yesterday a guy stopped before he put in and asked me "what do you call those boats?"
My buddy used to call his old Action Craft "Stand on It" because that was his response when people asked him what the poling platform was for. That was back when skiffs were still a rarity, however, at least along my stretch of the pond.
You could tell folks it's for spotting "Revenuers" up there.

Thought I would share... When I was out Sat. i trolled around a couple of good ole boys Bass fishing and told them about some fish working around some fallen trees behind me... They thanked me and as I was moving on i heard... "that's a nice boat..... you've got a fish cutting table on the back and everything"...... I just smiled and said..yep!! Kept on moving....
