Suggestions?????

I have to go work in Bradenton, Florida on Friday and the wife wants to stay for the weekend. Anybody got any suggestions on places to stay, activities, etc...? I don't frequent that area of the state and just want to make the trip worth while.

If Steve's options don't pan out, Ft. DeSoto State Park is a beautiful spot to wade fish for reds, snook and trout, plus the beach is very family-friendly for sunbathing and relaxing. Topwater plugs or DOA BaitBusters are killer. They also catch a lot of fish off the bay bridge pier.

If you are working and the wife ia staying in the room, I would suggest a place on Anna Maria Island
