Free weimaraner to good family

Post by Rhettley »

Buddy the weimaraner needs a good home. A male nurse that works with my wife in Tifton has him. He grew up in a family with kids and is great with kids. He is well trained and fetches. Their kids were going into college and they wanted to travel in the RV more and already had a small travel dog. This guy took him but the dog is home 13 hours a day alone 4 or 5 days in a row and tends to get lonely and bored and digs holes in the guy's flower bed. Buddy prefers to be around people and inside with them. The dog loves to come in and thinks he's a lap dog. I haven't met the dog so I'm going by what the guy says. Buddy is about 1 year old and very friendly but needs more attention and preferably someone with some land he can run on. This guy took him to his family's farm on his last day off and Buddy had a blast swimming, running with the Jeep, and playing. He has not been fixed. I forgot to ask if he has papers but I think he does. His rabies shot is due. The guy loves the dog and takes great care of him but knows the dog needs a family who can spend more time with him.

If anyone is interested I'll find out more details

Just got in from 2 days in Atlanta. I gave the wife the contact info for Tim and Anson. Don't know if the owner will be at work tomorrow but she will get it to him.

No updates. Sorry. The dog's owner wasn't at work Wednesday and we spent the day yesterday getting pre-op stuff done for the wife's surgery next week. She is working today. I just sent her a message to let me know what is going on with the dog and I'll post.

If there are no other takers, I would love to give this dog a good home & promise to walk him at least 3 times daily, he'll be inside mostly and will take him to water on weekends. Call me 850-201-9347 & ask for Eric.

Didn't mean to bug you. My daughter and sons were asking. I hope your wife's surgery goes well and hope it is nothing serious.

Didn't bug me at all. It's her gall bladder and partial hysterectomy. He's not at work today. They seem to be on opposite schedules this week but she got his phone number and has left him a message.

The wife just called. She's been too busy to try to call him but she texted me his phone number. I called and left him a message with Tim, Anson, and Eric's phone numbers. Hopefully it will work out well for the dog. I always like to see a dog go to a good family and I figured you guys on the fishing forums would be most likely to give a dog a good home.
