Guys and Girls Fishing Tournament

Post by grasshopper »

The Otto Hough sponsored ' Jack and Jill' Spots & Slots fishing tournament will be held this Saturday, 10/15/2011, If you haven't yet signed up be sure to do so. Registration forms are at Jerrys Bait & Tackle and will be available Saturday morning 5:30 to 7:00 am. All the official rule information can be found at myhometownfishing.com. . Lots of good fun and fishing with great cash prizes for the winners can be expected, with good food and fellowship at the weigh in.
The long range forecast looks like pretty good weather to fish, hoping to see all ya'll there and tell a friend to join us also.

PA,

You're exactly correct, fishing for kids is a much worthier cause than ours and anyone associated with our tournament would be more than glad to take any young person fishing and teach them the fundamentals and enjoyment of fishing.
But due to the fact that our date was set months ago we have to continue with our plans with consideration for our sponsors and participants . With consideration for all, Take a Kid Fishing organizers chose this date, despite input from this same website about the date of our tournament. We would no way try to compete with this worthy cause. our only hope would be that every young persons wish of fishing and being on the water comes true this Saturday.

Something like that.... Jumped when I should have putted in the West Pass. Had 4ft of water, guess the bottom jumped up to 2ft right in front of the boat. :smt011 Bummer to say the least. :smt012

I would love to fish this with the old lady. I've never tourney fished with her and this would certainly be a good un. Unfortunately we will be takin a kid fishin. If there is a spring tourney please post it early. I didn't know about this one until jt mentioned it when the takf post came up. I hope you have a great turnout. Good luck to all.

Hey Saltygator, check out myhometownfishing.com. It is not a forum like here, but there are pics updated daily along with an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC weekly/monthly fishing forecast. Everyone else should check it out as well. Truly is a great site.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
