St. Marks Trout
Spent most of the morning hydrating, after watching my LSU Tigers and her Noles win...we went out to fish the falling tide from Shields. The weather was georgous and the seas and winds were calm. We made first cast around 1:30 at the mouth of the east river on the oyster beds. I was throwing a gold spoon, she was throwing a Cajun Thunder with a live shrimp. Few bites, but nothing to write home about. We moved east in the grass flats and just drifted. About 2:30 I caught first trout, 13in. She was having a lot of bites with the live shrimp, so I changed to a white jig head 1/8 oz on a popping cork, landed 18 in trout around 3:30. We caught a few more but all were short. All in all a good day and food on the table...tight lines friends.

Sounded like a wonderful day to me. Something about being on the water.........is worth a lot.

Re: St. Marks Trout
Nice report. Fresh fish for dinner is a plus.
