Re: Oysters
How much did they go for? I saw a local sign for $40 a bushel.
Tried last week to get some Cedar Key oysters while I was in CK but couldn’t find the right person. They had shucked pints but I wanted the unshucked ones.
I did have some from Apalachicola last week and they were pretty good.
It is that time of the year!!

Mills, do you remember when Road Runner's seafood was open on HWY 27 outside of Colquitt? When I lived down there we would buy a bushel cleaned on ice for $23.00. That was 15 years ago though.Barhopr wrote:Just picked up a bushel at my way in panacea @36$. 13 mile in Apalach will have them this afternoon about 4 @ the same price

Re: Oysters
13 Mile in Apalach oysters YUM YUM. Most of the oysters coming out of East bay right now are small. Mile 13 has their own lease and they dreg rather than thong. I think they have better and larger oysters. But TMOIBarhopr wrote:Just picked up a bushel at my way in panacea @36$. 13 mile in Apalach will have them this afternoon about 4 @ the same price
I was in there last week and the price was $36.00 too.

Re: Oysters
I like the skipper bay oysters over Appalach... smaller but saltyer and a better flavor. Check out Mineral springs in Panacea!
