Got up this morning and got in the stand before work. Did not have but a little over an hour to hunt. But as cold as it was I figured it was worth a shot. Around 7:20 I decided to rattle to see what would happen. I rattled steady for about a minute. Not a minute later I looked to my right and saw brown. I said to myself that cant be a deer. Then it moved and I could see a nice rack. I got my gun up and watched him ease through the pines till he stepped out into the plot. He was faceing dead at me looking around. I knew I did not have long or many shot options. So when he picked his head up I shot him at the bottom of the neck patch. I am stoked. This is my best buck in 5 years.

Congrats, I figure you were talking about yesterday morning (Thursday) since it is only 7:32 now.

Working on antler mount now. I have a bigger 10 shoulder mount on wall now. Got to save money in case wife or son get a big one.
