Very sorry to hear about his death. I had heard he was battling cancer for a long time. RIP. :beer: :(

Hate to hear this. He was a neat old southern gentleman!

Damn, that's sad news!! I met him years ago while fishing a Hank Parker Bass tournament out of The Lunker Lodge on Lake Seminole.. A really nice and friendly guy! R.I.P. Jack

Who's Charlie Platt going to get to fill in most of his TV show now?

Breakfast at the lodge was a special experience. City folks will never understand the grace and kindness he embodied. I read many of his stories in "'Round Faceville". What a gift he had.
