Um, starting in February, we will no longer have a closed season on trout, plus the redfish limit is increased to 2 per person. The trout limits in the NE region are increased to 6 per person.
Plus,.............

New regulations for red drum effective February 1, 2012:

Bag limit increase from 1 fish to 2 fish in the Northeast and Northwest regions.
Statewide vessel limit of 8 red drum.
Off-water possession limit removed.
Bag limits apply to the land in the area adjacent to the fishing site.
Transport possession limit of 6 per person.
"Northeast region," "Northwest region" and "South region" were created.
Commercial harvest in state waters prohibited.
Must remain in whole condition until landed ashore.
Harvest prohibited by or with the use of multiple hooks in conjunction with live or dead natural bait.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

so.......... the same people that are saying that the Red drum populations are now good enuff to double the daily limit to 2 fish are still saying the the red snapper are an endangered and over fished species....go figure.......

why is it that stupid people some how get put into positions that can effect such a large group......
