Two man team = two over 20". per FWC rules and regs. Have seen many days when there have been three anglers on the boat and not caught any over 20". It is not always easy to catch the quality fish.

I had the distinct honor of fishing every Original Team Seatrout series.
In the beginning trout limits were 7 fish per person with one fish over 24 inches allowed.
Team Seatrout weighed in a 1 person limit of 7 fish.
Average top 5 finishers weighed 15 pounds or less.
When FWC changed the length and limit rules to 5 fish 15-20 inches with one over 20 inches allowed Team Seatrout dropped to a 5 fish limit but allowed 2 over 20 inches.
Herein comes the odd part, most teams rarely had 2 over 20 inches.
Yes some teams did but not the same teams all the time.
Average top 5 finishers had 14 pounds or less.
The most consistent team with 2 over was from Perry.
That team as well as a team from St. Marks brought their fish in alive in aerated live wells and released the fish after weighin.
Many of the over 20 fish were 21 or less inches.
In fact the 9 tournaments a year the Anglers of the Year averaged 110 pounds.
That is barely a 12 pound average.
As ReelBad stated...2 over 20 on tournament day is not as easy as it sounds.

16. PAYOUT:
1st – 50% of entries
2nd – 30% of entries
3rd – 15% of entries
Just wondering why you are taking the 5% out of third place rather than equally from all places.
Shouldn't it be 5% off the top, then a 50-30-20% payback from the remainder?

Good catch. Screw up on our end, your explanation is how we plan on doing it.

You've got two months until the first tournament, plenty of time to reconfigure your schedule. Get the word out to the Perry boys and tell 'em to come fish.

Sure. I won't charge you a dime, but your partner still owes $50.

Most of the Perry tournament fishermen (Buckeye) already have their work schedule set for the year.
Maybe a few of them will have off your weekends.

Yeah, :stupid_1 . Why don't we have a tournament to see who can catch the smallest fish the law will allow?
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Team Seatrout had several guides participating. For most of them Sunday was their slow work day, Captain Leger and Scott set it up on that day so that Captain Leger could handle the weigh in.
