Bought a new-to-me 2008 Key West Bay Reef 216 back in August. Got it in the water twice at the time and then got busy with work and am just now getting around to getting outfitted. Got a new T-top put on a few weeks ago by Gulf Coast Fabricators in Perry. They gave me the name of the guy that they get their fabric from because he makes custom boat covers. Called him today...$1,100 That's not in my budget right now. I've seen some in Bass Pro for my size center console w/t-top for around $450. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm sure I am going to get what I pay for but probably looking to pay no more than $600.
I bought my boat from R & K Boat Company in Willachoochee Georgia. A man in Willachoochee makes covers and made one for my boat with T-Top. I keep the boat under a shelter so it isn't a water proof cover but has done OK. His price in 2009 was much below that.
BUY A METAL GROUNDED COVER, IT WILL LAST FOREVER, I BOUGHT ONE I8 YRS. AGO AND IT IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE, PRESSURE WASH IT EVERYNOW AND THEN, I PAID $350 PLUS TAX AND TOOK ME ABOUT 1/2 DAY TO POUR FOOTINGS AND ASSEMBLE THE REST. SEEMS TO ME I WAS TOLD IT WAS ANADISED ALUM. (SPELL). IT IS ENCLOSED ON 3 SIDES AND I PUT AFOLDING DOOR ON THE FRONT. HAVE HAD SOME PRETTY STRONG WINDS BUT SHE STAYED PUT.

Thanks for the responses...I'm in Tallahassee so I'll give Shields a call. Don't think I could do the ground cover in my current house/yard but that is the direction I would like to go in the next few years when we move somewhere with a little more space.
