We had a great start to the 2012 season, with 26 boats eager to catch and weigh in their one Trout & one Redfish. With the weather being unusually warm for February, the fish seemed to be unpredictable. This left a lot of anglers scratching their head, myself included. A few anglers did manage to find some nice fish. The weigh in was held at St Marks Outfitters and Thanks to Capt Mike McNamara, he was very accommodating.
The 1st place team of Junior Dice and Eric Wood took quite a boat ride which in the end paid off. Their Trout and Redfish weighed in at 10.45 lbs and won them $292.50. Junior also won the big Trout side pot, which paid $175.00 for a 4.85 lb Trout. Congrats to Junior and Eric.
2nd place team of Trip Aukeman & Carson Ulrich had a combined weight of 9.55lbs, and won them $175.50.
3rd place team of Will Thompson & Louis Lamarche had combined weight 8.86lbs that beat the 4th place team by one hundredths of an ounce, it paid $117.00.
The Team of Steve Hobbs & David Langston found a leopard Redfish with 12 spots. That Redfish won them the most spots on a Redfish side pot paying $300.00.
The Kevins big Flounder pot was one by Gary Droze with a Flounder weighing 1.80lbs. That Flounder earned Gary $50.00 from Kevins Guns and Sporting goods.
Meridian Surveying & Mapping Mystery fish pot was won by Brad Castleberry with a Sea Bass weighing a whopping 0.85lbs which earned him $50.00.

That was a great tourney. This was my first visit to St. Marks Outfitters. I always thought about stopping there but never did. It's a nice place and Capt. Mike seems like a nice and knowledgable guy. I'll be back, Mike. Let's have another there NFGFC.
