Sir Reel, one of the leaders broke in the hook loop, and the other snapped in the middle. I think you are right about the quicker fish being able to snap the leader with a violent thrash. That is why I switched to the 200# mono the next day. It is probably a bit much, but was all I had on hand.
I will pick up a spool of 120# wire next time I'm in the tackle shop. Maybe that will slow them down. :-D

Sea Gurl, it's more like a major in B.S. I just try to tell it like it happened. Glad you all enjoy my follies :-D .

Oh golly.... :roll: Something else to learn how to do. :-? Now I have to learn how to make wire leaders. :roll: Well, at least I won't have to tie that darn albright knot to join pencil-lead think mono to fine fishing line. :thumbup:

Maybe I'll wait 'til I have the cast netting down pat .... Then again, with leader making, I can get more tools!! :thumbup: :thumbup:
