Fun day
Since the tide looked good for an afternoon trip, we made a late start. We were on the water about noon. Little slow at first and then it picked up. We boated nine reds and 5 trout. All the trout were keepers and since there was a fish fry in the plans, 4 of them came home. The 5th was on his way to the box and he made his escape through a new hole in the bottom of the net.
I'll need to get that patched. 3 of the reds were keepers and they took a ride as well. A fun day. Jerk shad on white jig head , fished slow, produced the best. No joy on a gold spoon or topwater. What trout we caught were aggressive again. Water temp was 64 at the start of the day and warmed to around 66-67 by the end. Most fish caught in 2-3 feet of water, east of St Marks.
